Top Ten Celebrities on Twitter
There are many celebrities blessing the Twitter community- some would argue that this is one of the main reasons why Twitter has become so popular in the past year. Others just want a chance to interact with their Celebrity (s) of choice. Regardless of your stance on the whole twitter celebrity phenomenon, the fact remains that ten dominate the the top ranks of the twitterverse – pulling in over 20 million plus followers at the time of this writing.
Coming in at number one by quite a large margin, is Ashton Kutcher. He is currently in the lead with whopping 3,660,622 followers. This number continues to grow by the second as Ashton remains the central focal point of most twitter celebrity PR.
In number two, is Ellen DeGeneres. She is right up there with 3,357,966 followers. She is promoting the Ellen DeGenres Show and website.
Britney Spears comes in Third. She is very close to Ellen with 3,323,694 followers. She also has thousands of friends on her list. Most of the celebrities have their personal few. The site does make an effort to tell people this is the real Britney. They have updates from her, her team, and her website.
Coming in fourth is the loved CNN group. They have a very impressive 2,753,025. This truly does show you that CNN is up there as far as one of the world leaders when it comes to online news and information.
Followers have ranked Kim Kardashian at number five. She has caught the attention of 2,393,257 followers.
Sixth is no other than Ryan Seacrest. Ryan has 2,335,768 followers. He is promoting his radio shows, American Idol, and the latest Hollywood News.
Number seven is SHAQ. SHAQ is gaining power with his 2,285,205. He is known on his twitter page for performing random acts if SHAQNESS.
Coming in at number eight, is Oprah. She was beat by Twitter. Twitter has themselves on the list. 2,239,767 faithful fans are following Oprah. Oprah encourages people to live the best life they possibly can.
Our ninth is John Mayer. An impressive 2,295,745 are following him. John Mayer has been on Twitter since January 30, 2009. He has Tweeted 2181 times. He lists himself as being a recording and sandwich artist.
Number ten is our nation’s president, Barack Obama. He has tons of people on his friend’s list with a whopping 2,225,937 followers.

Ashton Kutcher, is a girly boy who must be the center of attention in all ways. He thinks he is some kind of business person since he got lucky with twitter. Demi needs to get this kid in check, lock his ass down. Good post considering.
