Top SEO iPhone Apps
Whether you are new to the world of search engine optimization or a seasoned pro, you will find the need to get a quick glimpse of some basic SEO metrics from time to time. If you have an iPhone, there are a couple of apps for you.
While the tools presented here are not advised to base your entire SEO business off of; you will find them practical to utilize when talking to a client, in a meeting or any other situation where find yourself out of your computer’s reach.
SEO Ranking- A great little iPhone app to quickly find your SERP based off any given keyword. This app uses Google’s AJAX API, which – at the time of this writing -allows for unlimited SERP calls. SEO Ranking also includes a handy line graph to display the results of your keyword rankings over a period of time.
proSEO – This iphone app goes the extra mile, as far as iPhone apps are concerned. proSEO gives you the ability to break down the source code of any page on the net. After adding your URL, this application allows you to view a “Source Code Analysis” which breaks down the source code by meta tags, total tag counts, title tag text and a complete view of the underlying source code.
The next function of the proSEO analysis is dubbed the “Body Text Analysis”. This report gives you a stop word ratio percent, a total word count with stop words and outputs a count of how many keyword phrases are present by length of phrase.
Two other breakdowns allow you to view the anchors and link text of a page as well as the image and alt tags presented.
It should be noted that this iPhone app is a little pricey at just under 10 bucks, but I have found the fast decomposition and grouping of reports to be well worth the added cost.
AnalyticsApp.com – Out of the handful of available web analytics reports found in the iPhone app store, this app is the closest thing to logging into your Google Analytics account. It offers over 45 different reports, the ability to track multiple domains, custom date views, and the ability to inspect your adWord’s campaign traffic.
Pokeseo- simple but effective this iphone app quickly checks page rank based off of Google’s PageRank algorithm. In addition this iPhone App displays the number of backlinks for any given domain or URL from four major search engines AOL, Google, MSN Live (BING) and Yahoo.
SEM- This free iPhone app allows you to do a multitude of calculations based off of common search engine marketing equations. Great for anyone who needs a quick calculation based off of CPM, CPA, CPC, CTR and more.
While these iphone apps will not completely change how you conduct your SEO related activities. It is good to know that there are some iPhones apps out there that can help you to quickly check: SERPs’ ,backlink counts, traffic analytics and more. Personally I would like to see one app that can do all the above mentioned checks, but until then, it is entertaining to know there are a handful that can do the job nicely.

Wow, I had no idea all of this SEO apps existed for the iPhone, I am interesting in trying these out to see how much time I can save.
The $10 price tag of proSEO doesn’t sound too bad considering some of the costs of popular SEO tools… It’s so easy to spend $150 monthly just on SEO services (SEOBook, LinkVana, etc.). Thanks for the reviews!!!
